Liv Tyler Is Keeping the Dream of the ’90s Alive

It’s hard to go on Instagram without seeing a nostalgic image of Empire Records–era Liv Tyler. Trend-chasers everywhere are still channeling the ‘90s starlet’s floral dresses and pouty-lipped poses. After all, Tyler was wearing lacy tops, shaggy coats, and thigh-high socks before many of today’s party girls were even born.
On the carpet, the rock-and-roll heiress — who started modeling at 14 — tends to go for black gowns, accented with details like exaggerated bows. She’s a friend to Stella McCartney and a face of Givenchy, but she still knows a good flowy bohemian dress when she sees one. See all of her best looks in our slide show ahead.
