Empire’s Jussie Smollett is about to star in another sprawling family epic with lots spice — literal spice, in this case, think along the lines of cardamom. The Food Network has placed a six-episode order for Smollett Eats, a half-hour series that centers on the Smollett family, which includes Jussie, Jurnee (Underground, Friday Night Lights), and “head chef†Jake as well as alliterative siblings Jocqui, Jojo, and Jazz. Taraji P. Henson better stop by for the episode where they make Cookies. The network has also ordered six episodes of Ayesha’s Homemade, which will star Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA star Steph Curry, mother to Ryan and Riley, author of some pretty intense tweets. No word on whether she’ll make a certain spicy dish common in India — oh, what’s the word for it?
