Adele was just casually killing it on tour, as she does, when she got to that part of her concert where she extends her benevolence to the crowd and invites a fan onstage. It’s normally the closest any tone-deaf fan will get to feeling like a star. Not Jamie Grace. See, this Georgia peach isn’t just your average Adele fan who lacks any vocal prowess. She’s a professional contemporary-Christian singer and was nominated for a Grammy in 2012, coincidentally the same year Adele cleaned up. Of course, all of this was unbeknownst to Adele, who handed her stage off to Grace for what she likely assumed would be a few painful seconds of “Hello.†Instead, she got a powerhouse cover of “Remedy†followed by a flawless encore of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,†at Adele’s request. Much like Rihanna’s own fan experience, Adele was rendered about as speechless as Grace, who just barely managed to plug her YouTube channel. Relive it all above.
