The streaming service has green-lit a 13-episode docuseries about Hefner’s life that will draw from the more than 17,000 hours of footage and 2,600 scrapbooks in his archives — yes, like Kim Kardashian, Hefner has it all on tape. American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story will cover everything from the launch of Playboy in 1953 through the next six decades of Hefner’s career. It’ll premiere next year.
