Known unicorn-enthusiast Brie Larson will be taking her life and career to the next logical step by starring in, directing, and producing a new movie called Unicorn Store. It tells the story of a woman named Kit who moves back in with her parents as an adult and then “receives a mysterious invitation to a store that will test her ideas of what it really means to grow up,†according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rebel Wilson was previously attached to the role, but had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts, and it’s been sitting in Larson’s hands since before she won her Best Actress Oscar earlier this year. Now that Larson has locked down a superhero franchise and a flashy blockbuster in Kong: Skull Island, she’s capitalizing on her rapidly rising demand by adding feature film director to her resume, though she does already have a Sundance Jury Prize for the short film she directed in 2012 called The Arm. Here’s hoping that no matter how high Larson’s star rises she never stops posting those fire #tbt photos on Instagram.
