Another update from the seemingly never-ending Television Critics Association summer press tour: Hulu has acquired Limelight, a documentary series highlighting game-changing moments in pop culture, like the short-lived cult hit The Dana Carvey Show – the 1996 sketch series whose single season featured appearances from actors like Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, and Jon Glaser, among others, plus a writing team that included Louis CK, Robert Carlock, Charlie Kaufman, and Robert Smigel.
The streaming network’s head of content, Craig Erwich, announced the news last week; in addition to Carvey, the show will explore topics like Larry Flynt’s Big Brother magazine and the work of Batman co-creator Bill Finger.
