The fall equinox means that college is in full swing: Can’t you just smell the pumpkin spice and youthful indiscretion in the air? And yes, there was a time when Gina Rodriguez was one of those NYU kids tearing up Washington Square Park with a 40 in one hand and iPod in the other. It was during those times when her rap alter ego “Cutz†was born alongside her friend’s “Lady Fury.†Rodriguez brought Cutz back out last night on The Tonight Show at the behest of Jimmy Fallon, rapping what is basically the standard for female celebrity raps, Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.†(The other Nicki Minaj choice, of course, is her verse on “Monster.â€) Maybe Lady Fury wants to join Cutz for a reunion tour?
