Anyway, Dornan stars in Netflix’s The Siege of Jadotville, which is based on the story of the 1961 intervention of Swedish and Irish troops in the Congo, which led to a days-long standoff with Katangese soliders supported by French and Belgian business interests. Dornan plays commander Patrick Quinlan, who doesn’t “give a damn about the larger tings!†and is just the latest white dude to save Africa in a movie.
