Barack and Michelle Obama had such a great time at SXSW this year that, earlier this month, they announced that they are holding their very own festival at the White House, called South by South Lawn. According to the A.V. Club, the festival will celebrate music, film, and “interactive,†similar to the real South by Southwest. Today, President Obama finally revealed the lineup, and it includes the Lumineers, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, and DJ Beverly Bond. There will also be a student film fest, and a virtual-reality experience that shows you what it’s like to live in a tiny prison cell, because it’s still at the White House after all. For the film section, President Obama will be in conversation with Leonardo DiCaprio about DiCaprio’s Before the Flood documentary. There will also be a screening of student film selections featuring the kids from Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, and Gaten Matarazzo. South by South Lawn will be held on October 3, and you can find more information here.
