Kanye West Said He’s ‘So Hurt’ (and Also Mad) at Kid Cudi’s Comments, While Drake Went for the Corny Dis

It looks like Kanye West managed to see those tweets, even sans phone. Kid Cudi made some big waves on Thursday afternoon when he called out Kanye, his former boss, and Drake on Twitter, touching on their alleged penchant for ghostwritten tracks, and various betrayals. One such sampling from Cudi’s venting session read: “My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas dont give a fuck about me. And they aint fuckin with me.†Well, it seems Kanye and Drake gave some sort of something about Cudi’s, er, constructive criticism, as it took them both less than a day to respond.

Speaking back to his rumored ghostwriter, Kanye had the lengthier reaction. At a concert on Thursday night, he said: “Do you know how many people wish they could be signed to G.O.O.D. music, get their life changed, have an opportunity? Never forget that! I am so hurt. I feel so disrespected. Kid Cudi, we are two black men in a racist world.†You see, Kanye’s not mad, just disappointed — and, okay, also a little mad — about Cudi’s comments. He continued, “I got called names before you, bruh. Why y’all gotta be coming at me? This ain’t the end of the Malcolm X movie. I’m out here fighting for y’all creators, artists, independent thinkers. Don’t never mention my name in a bad manner, none of y’all.â€

Meanwhile, Drake, the assumed target of a tweet by Cudi that read, “Im the one they worry about cause they know I dont give a fuck about the corny shit they do,†went ahead and embraced the corn-syrupy goodness at his own concert. Referencing the O.T. Genesis track “Cut It,†Drake went for the pun, saying, “Boy, you getting way too high, you need to Cud-it.†He also reportedly told the crowd: “I heard boys were talking down today. Shout-out to my brother Kanye West. We both got sold-out shows.â€

Hey, it’s probably a good time to remember than even “brothers†fight.
