Prince’s Paisley Park Museum — destined to become the funkiest, sexiest museum this side of the Atlantic — is only temporarily open this Thursday, Saturday, and next Friday, October 14, due to pesky zoning problems, but that didn’t stop Today from sending Al Roker to give the Purple One’s worshipers a first look at the complex. Described as an epicenter for all things Prince, the sprawling Minnesota museum includes iconic memorabilia such as instruments, costumes, and handwritten notes, all of which are capped off with a truly sensational Purple Rain Room. (When we say Prince saved everything, we really mean he saved everything.) There aren’t any basketball courts anymore, but maybe they’re saving that for the ultimate surprise.
