Donald Trump apologized Friday for the offensive off-camera comments he made about anchor Nancy O’Dell to Billy Bush while visiting Access Hollywood in 2005, giving Saturday Night Life a fairly tight turn-around when it came time to crank out a parody cold open by Saturday evening. Luckily for them, everything about this is disgusting. In the sketch, Alec Baldwin’s incrementally more accurate, much-more off-putting Donald Trump offers a sincere apple-gy for his actions … before immediately embarrassing himself into a hot mic once again. And so, the life cycle of political scandal begins anew.
