Tom Ford’s $2,000 Lipstick Kit Is Getting an Update
There are 25 new reasons to squirrel away your dollars between now and November. Next month, Tom Ford is revamping his Lips & Boys lipstick collection by replacing 25 of the 50 shades. The new crew consists of five creamy colors, including the perfectly rosy-nude, Bradley; ten frosted shades like the brown sparkle-flecked Snowdon; and ten new matte shades like the vividly orange-red Cristiano.
Like the last rendition of Lips & Boys, each lipstick arrives pint-size — about half the size of the brand’s standard .1-ounce rouge tubes — and lands at $36 for a single lip color, or $1,950 for the entire set. If you start eschewing those daily lattes now, you might save enough to buy exactly one tube next month — just in time to brag about it ad nauseam during Thanksgiving dinner.
