Before hosting this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, Lin-Manuel Miranda stopped by The Tonight Show to prove that he can rap about more than the Founding Fathers; he can also freestyle about bronies and magic spells cast by Harry Potter. The Hamilton writer and star went rhyme-for-rhyme with the Roots’ Tariq Trotter in a very deferential (“You are the greatest alive!â€) game of Wheel of Freestyle, where the two artists had to incorporate random words into an on-the-fly rap. While Trotter might have had a tighter rap, with a truly great line about lumberjacks, Miranda used his vast political knowledge, gained from years of working on a show about American history, to rhyme erection with election.
