A Timeless, if Not Timely, Parody

I thought that, collectively, most of the world had move passed quoting American Psycho unironically. But yet again, as with Trump and Brexit, society has shown me that I know next to nothing. Thank Patrick Bateman, this reminder of my myopia is funnier than either of the aforementioned political travesties. Written by and starring Daniel Landsberg and meticulously directed by Charles Coleman, American Fatso is a reminder that we should all just make things that make us – and each other – laugh, no matter how “past due†that laughter may seem. Certain cultural touchstones are always ripe for parody (remember this?). More so if you’ve got a truly original, well-executed take like. Now, go eat some turkey and J.O. in the shower, like true American Fatsos.
