If you feel guilty about succumbing to the crass consumerism that is Black Friday, but love to buy stuff, you can temper those feelings by purchasing a real and tangible piece of art — and Frank Ocean would like to help. Early Friday, the musician released his marvelous album Blond (or Blonde, if you’d like) on vinyl and CD for the first time through his website (for $35 and $15, respectively). The physical distribution was made possible by XL Recordings, which is good news to those who followed his former label drama with Def Jam and the rumors that finding any label support for Blond’s non-digital offerings was tricky, to say the least. If you’re feeling very festive, you can also grab merch, including air fresheners, posters, and — for $80 — a copy of Boys Don’t Cry magazine, Issue 1, which was originally only available at pop-up stores during Blond’s initial release. Happy shopping.
