Academy Award–Winner Lupita Nyong’o Performs an Academy Award–Worthy ‘Whatta Man’ on Lip Sync Battle

Anyone with a very goofy Regina Hall drag S&M fantasy might disagree, but the obvious winner of last night’s Lip Sync Battle was Lupita Nyong’o’s rendition of Salt-N-Pepa’s “Whatta Man.” In a too-raunchy-for-your-grandma-just-kidding-that’s-the-main-reason-she-watches episode, the Queen of Katwe actress traded off Academy Award–worthy lap dances with an Academy Award–worthy fireman, before splashing around in a sort of fun, PG wet T-shirt contest. This is what the Academy would call versatility. Clearly, she has the range.
