The Weeknd just announced his new film, Mania, and it will be directed by collaborator Grant Singer. According to Pitchfork, Singer recently worked with the Weeknd on the video for “Starboy,†with Daft Punk. A teaser trailer was just uploaded to the Weeknd’s Twitter account, and the film will probably be taking place in the same universe as “Starboy.†The work is described as a “visual piece,†and the full version will be released on Wednesday!
