Standup Joel Kim Booster (Problematic, Billy on the Street) is working on a new show at Fox based on his own life. According to Deadline, the network has put into development a single-cam comedy written by and starring Booster that follows “a child born in South Korea before being adopted by white, Midwest evangelical parents. When it comes apparent to all involved he’s gay, the young fish out of water goes in search of his birth mother in the hopes they can reconnect.†Booster will also serve as a co-executive producer on the project alongside Jax Media’s Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns, who will serve as EPs.
