Ben Stiller and Workaholics co-creators Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck are teaming up to produce a new comedy for Netflix. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the group is producing a movie for the streaming network called The Eggplant Emoji. Here’s the logline from THR’s report:
When a teenager accidentally cuts off his penis during a camping trip, he and his friends rush to save the appendage before it’s too late. The intent is to make a comedy in the vein of Superbad, something that focused on friendship but throbbed with insane situations and R-rated language.
The script was written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider, who are also behind the animated Seeso series Gentlemen Lobsters.
