We’ll never get to see Hellboy 3 come to fruition after all. Despite our waiting and hell raising (Guillermo del Toro even made that very official Twitter poll that asked us to choose between “yes†and “hell yes!â€), the director confirmed via Twitter that another Hellboy movie won’t happen. Even though Ron Perlman seemed game, it looks like 2008’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army was the end of the road. “Must report that 100% the sequel will not happen,†del Toro tweeted this morning.
Perlman, who works with GDT on Netflix’s Trollhunters, also tweeted a somber message about the movie:
