That long-delayed Law & Order: SVU epsiode inspired by Donald Trump’s presidential run might not even be worth it, Ice-T says. The longtime SVU star told Vanity Fair that the episode — which has now been postponed three times — isn’t the series’ best work. “I don’t even think it’s worth showing,” Ice-T said. “It wasn’t one of our best shows.” Initially announced before Trump’s presidential victory, the episode starred Gary Cole as a moneyman turned presidential candidate who was accused of rape by several women at the height of his campaign. Even though Ice-T said the episode isn’t worth airing, he did share the ending’s big twist: “There was this guy who was running for president — he was very Trump-ish, and girls were coming out of the woodwork saying he was raping them,” Ice-T said. “And me and Mariska [Hargitay], we’re on his bumper, and he’s sweating it. But at the end of the day, it comes out that he was innocent. He didn’t do it. So we’ve got to apologize, and he’s still doing his thing, talking his shit. And it turns out that his campaign adviser, who was his best friend, was booby-trapping him because he knew he would be terrible for America!” Though the episode seems to have been completed, the SVU star doubts it will air since its premise was too close to headlines from months ago. “To put it out now, it’s old and stuff,” he told Vanity Fair. “So I think they just got rid of it. I don’t know if they burned the shit or whatever. They paid me for it. I don’t give a fuck, really. I got my money!” Trump or no Trump, don’t hate the playa, hate the game — there’s sure to be plenty of POTUS fodder for NBC’s lineup in the future.
