Celebrities tend to lie about their age. Lady Gaga says she’s 31, but new evidence points to the fact that she might be 90. For one, she has an album with Tony Bennett. And now she’s on the cover of your grandma’s favorite bathroom read, Arthritis magazine, a mag you either didn’t know existed, or purchase frequently along with a Twix and a pack of Bic pens when buying condoms at the drug store so that it doesn’t seem weird.
Jokes aside, back in 2013, Mother Monster broke her hip, forcing her to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour. As she told Women’s Wear Daily at the time, “There were giant craters, a hole in my hip the size of a quarter, and the cartilage was just hanging out the other side of my hip. I had a tear on the inside of my joint and a huge breakage.†Had she performed another show, doctors told her she’d probably need a full hip replacement.
Luckily our girl is back in action, and as the cover of Arthritis mag says that she says (the article is not yet released), “Hip pain can’t stop me!†Damn right it can’t. Nothing can. We saw you jump off the roof at the Super Bowl.
Though this may not be the hippest magazine out there, Lady Gaga is certainly helping inspire and bring comfort to some of her little monsters. And for that, we bow down to our Grigio girl.
