At the 28th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, the Grammy and Tony Award–winning Cynthia Erivo performed a tribute to the victims of last year’s Pulse nightclub shooting and other LGBTQ victims of violence. Erivo, who may also be the one true heralding angel of God, sang a rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine†that starts out a cappella before becoming a string and piano ballad carried to divine heights by Erivo’s voice. “Imagine†is already an anthem, but not even Lennon could have dreamed his song would sound this good one day.
