TV comedy legend Norman Lear has a show in the works at NBC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given a pilot production commitment to a single-cam comedy from Lear and Peter Tolan called Guess Who Died. Set in a senior living community, the show is based on an idea Lear has had for over seven years and described as “a humorous and inspiring look at the shared joys and challenges people experience at any stage of life.†NBC added that the project is directly inspired by Lear’s life “and his secret to longevity: to continue learning and growing — but especially when society expects you to slow down.†Lear and Tolan will co-executive produce the project alongside Brent Miller.
