Saturday Night Live returns this weekend for its 43rd season, and this year there are some new additions to the cast and writing staff. The show just announced that it’s added three new featured players to the cast – Heidi Gardner from the Groundlings in Los Angeles, Chicago-based musical comedian Luke Null, and Chris Redd, who appeared in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and recently debuted his Comedy Central half-hour standup special. In addition, the show has hired seven new writers: Sam Jay, Gary Richardson, Erik Marino, Andrew Dismukes, Steven Castillo, Claire Friedman, and Nimesh Patel.
