Chris Gethard’s Mom Made the World a Slightly Better Place on ‘TCGS’ Last Night

To say the least, it’s been an awful week, but last night’s episode of The Chris Gethard Show (the perfectly titled “Everything Is Terrifying”) offered up a rare moment of positivity when Gethard’s mom called in to offer her son some words of encouragement and cheer up guest Michael Ian Black, who lost his own mother earlier this year. “Mom, I gotta say, I haven’t talked to you all week and it’s weird that it’s on the show, but just thank you for being my mom. I couldn’t have asked for better,” Gethard tells her. “Well, I do have one piece of advice. I think all of us should think about it,” Mrs. Gethard says. “I think maybe we all have to be a little more like Vacation Jason.”
