Stephen Colbert and John Hodgman Review Movies as Gil and Phil Peaches

If you’re interested in some high-quality film reviews of some of this year’s Oscar contenders, look no further than this clip from last night’s Late Show, where Stephen Colbert returns as YouTube movie reviewer Gil Peaches to break down some of the year’s hottest films alongside his “pretentious cousin” Phil Peaches played by John Hodgman. The two cover Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Lady Bird, and a non-movie that happens to be Hodgman’s book Vacationland, and Phil makes sure to remind his cousin that, being a true coastal elite,  his taste is much more refined than him. “Philliam, what are you drinking?” “Sophisticated urbanites like myself drink cucumber water.
