In between the president’s late-night McDonald’s runs and early-morning subtweeting, the Trump White House will reportedly screen The Post. Per The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox gave the White House access to the movie for both 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Camp David, where the president is scheduled to host a summit Saturday. Presidents routinely get advance screeners of new movies, so that’s nothing out of the ordinary, but The Post was sped through production and release because of Donald Trump’s election. Don’t bother prepping a recliner for star Tom Hanks — he’s already said he’d skip a White House screening of the movie if invited.
