See the Best Street Style From New York Fashion Week
The main message from New York Fashion Week’s street style was that it pays to have fun with your clothes and not take yourself too seriously. Outfits were unexpected and experimental — just scroll down to see a jumpsuit that looks like a pair of pants hiked wayyy up. After following the street style all week, we want to add a few things to our closets, including a slime green sweater, a colorful suit, a prairie dress, and cowboy boots. You heard it here: fluro-green is the color of the season. In both the runways and on the streets, the ’80s revival continued. Oversize shoulder pads and sleeves look a bit more modern when paired with a silky slip skirt, bike shorts, or cropped flares. Which brings us to the biggest pants of the moment: bike shorts. Yes, they’re in style now. Maryam Nassir Zadeh showed a mint-green pair on the last day of Fashion Week — paired with a silvery blazer that was to die for. If you’re going for a less corporate-inspired look: One particularly stylish person captured in our gallery wore a chunky bubblegum-pink sweater with black bike shorts, which seems like the best fall brunch outfit.
