A month after the first anonymous accuser of R. Kelly decided to speak publicly about the artist’s alleged history of sexual abuse, another woman is now preparing to have her day in court. Per the Chicago Sun-Times, the woman has been granted a default judgment against the singer-songwriter and is set to return to court to describe her experience, where the judge will decide “how much Kelly should pay†in damages. The accuser, who is underage and was only identified by her initials, is one of three other victims tied to Kelly’s charge of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Chicago’s Cook County — she also sued Kelly earlier this year. If her statement is released publicly, this will be the first we will hear from the accuser. “We don’t care about the lawsuit,†Kelly’s publicist told the Sun-Times. “The lawsuit means nothing to us.†In addition to this complaint, Kelly is facing three separate criminal investigations against him in Atlanta, New York, and Chicago regarding sexual abuse and assault.
