The five stages of grief: shock, denial, anger, bargaining, softly lit sad streaming comedy. In Netflix’s Dead to Me, Christina Applegate returns to TV as Jen, a woman grieving her husband’s death in a hit-and-run accident, across from Linda Cardellini, a mysterious, free-spirited woman she meets in a support group. James Marsden is also there, though we don’t get much info about him other than that he looks great, per usual. Liz Feldman (2 Broke Girls) created the series, while Applegate executive produces alongside Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Jessica Elbaum of Gloria Sanchez Productions. Dead to Me premieres May 3, just in time for some summertime (and Emmy season) sadness.
