Lily Collins ain’t afraid of no ghosts. In an interview with The Guardian, Collins said she became convinced that the spirits of Ted Bundy’s victims were visiting her while preparing for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Over Christmas, Collins found herself waking up every night at 3:05 a.m. “I would go downstairs and have a cup of tea, trying to figure out why I had woken up again,†she said. “I started being woken up by flashes of images, like the aftermath of a struggle.†After some internet sleuthing, Collins deduced that it must be ghosts. “I discovered that 3 a.m. is the time when the veil between the realms is the thinnest and one can be visited.†But rather than feeling attacked, she felt supported, like the women Bundy had slain were expressing their gratitude at having their stories told. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile comes to Netflix May 3.
