Garden gnomes live in the same neighborhood as elves and jogging centaurs, and unicorns tip over trash cans in Onward, Disney and Pixar’s new suburban fantasy. Meet the Lightfoot brothers: Barley (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Ian (voiced by Tom Holland). And meet their dead dad, reanimated and brought back to life by magic … but only halfway. “We only have 24 hours to bring the rest of him back†Barley declares, as he and Ian buckle themselves into a van that has certainly seen better days. According to Disney, the duo is out to “discover if there is still a little magic left out there.†Onward also features the voice work of Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer.
