Patricia Heaton has had a ton of acts over the course of her television career, but her latest character, Carol Kenney, is just moving into phase two. CBS has released the trailer for one of its new fall shows, Carol’s Second Act, about a woman in her 50s who bounced back from her husband’s running off by becoming a doctor — a power move! Well, Heaton’s character isn’t a doctor quite yet, which is the whole point of the show. She’s actually an intern alongside a bunch of ambitious 20-somethings who are about to have their white coats charmed off by their nontraditional peer. And you know who else is at the hospital? Kyle MacLachlan as the senior attending physician Dr. Steven Frost, who is looking mighty distinguished with that full head of silver hair.
