Not yet inspired by the Jonas Brothers’ own reunion, Louis Tomlinson, one-fifth of the band formerly known as One Direction, announced that he’s working on an album and aiming to go on tour next year. The One Direction member with the fun accent (who’s not Niall Horan) took a much-deserved break after about five years of being a teen girl’s everything. Tomlinson shared on The Late Late Show in London that he plans on releasing music more frequently, after James Corden practically begged him to. Thank God we can always count on Corden to embarrass the One Direction boys men.
“Well, I’ve been working on this album for a while now,†Louis sighs. “I kind of wanted to start when I was in the band, but actually going out on your own is a whole different thing.â€
Tomlinson had singles “Just Like You†and “Back to You†featuring Bebe Rexha in 2017, but never released a full album. Since the “hiatus,†the 27-year-old had a baby and lost his mom. We wouldn’t be surprised if the new record pivoted hard from the fun-loving pop One Direction adhered to. Luckily, One Direction fans are growing up, too. It’s just a sign of the times.
