Following a well-timed photo rollout on social media of their son, Archie Harrison, doing exciting things like “sleeping†and “being held in laps,†Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating their son’s very opulent christening by giving the commoners what they want: some close-up baby photos, baby. As unveiled on their royal Instagram page, Archie’s christening took place at Windsor Castle’s private chapel on Saturday morning, where the trio was surrounded by many extended members of the royal family. (The couple is choosing not to make Archie’s godparents publicly known, so we’re just gonna assume they’re noted fancy pals Serena Williams and George Clooney.) The little dude wore a “handmade replica of the royal christening gown which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years,†per the photo’s caption, and looked like he received a pretty great snuggle. We can only hope the Archbishop of Canterbury broke out the good Sacred Chrism oil for the occasion. Who are we kidding, of course he did.
