Finally, after spending all summer swaying to “Venice Bitch†in the shower, Lana Del Rey’s sixth album, Norman Fucking Rockwell, is out. Even though it seems like her California-drenched, highly anticipated new album took the packed 101 freeway to get here, it’s worth the wait. NFR was primarily co-written and co-produced with Jack Antonoff, who also helped out on Taylor Swift’s Lover. Its release was led by six singles of varying capitalization: “Mariners Apartment Complex,†“Venice Bitch,†“hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it,†“Doin’ Time†(a Sublime cover), “Fuck it I love you,†and “The greatest.†NFR also boasts a few songs that Lana has previewed elsewhere, including “California†and “Bartender.†Of course, she’s taking NFR away from its sunny beaches and on tour, starting next month. Roll down the windows and listen to Norman Fucking Rockwell below.
