Seth Meyers Asks the New York Times to ‘Do Better’

Seth Meyers is a New Yorker, so he’s extra good at criticizing New York institutions. So when the New York Times led this week’s Trump coverage with a headline many found far too generous, and that the outlet even later admitted wasn’t great, he was well-prepared to offer the kind of extremely-tough-but-somehow-technically-still-love that all New Yorkers are known for. Using his “Hey!� segment, Meyers wondered aloud whether Trump was writing headlines for the Times now, but at least said he looked forward to the day when they “wake the f#@! up.�
