Orange You Glad This Color Was Everywhere at London Fashion Week?

Apologies for the corny joke, but hey, anything to get your attention. And few colors are as attention-grabbing as orange — safety vests can attest. While we have been seeing tangerine for a while, the buzzy, energetic color was everywhere at London Fashion Week, which just wrapped up today. It’s showing up in other shades, too, from an almost-red orange to softer tones that are very nearly peach (which is right in the middle of orange and pink, and thus qualifies as neither).

Of course, attention-seekers naturally gravitate towards designers like Christopher Kane and his provocative creations (his last collection was fetish-themed). So it makes sense that his collection this time around featured several bright orange pieces, with ruffled accents. Rejina Pyo offered a more demure take on the trend. Her collection showed a bright orange dress layered underneath a pea-green shirt dress …okay maybe it’s not so demure. But it is more daytime chic than David Koma’s little orange dress, which basically screams let’s party!

Even super-feminine labels like Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, and Roksanda liberally used orange in their collections.
