This Sunday, everyone’s favorite host, Taraji P. Henson, hosted her fourth BET Awards and, as expected, pulled off several outfit changes. One thing we can always count on at the show besides Henson’s looks is an excellent red carpet. Presented at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the BET Awards is a celebration of Black entertainment encompassing music, film, and sports. Nominees across categories included Beyoncé, SZA, Tyla, Angel Reese, Angela Bassett, and Victoria Monet, who also performed and won video of the year. Usher received the Lifetime Achievement Award, a more than deserved honor judging by his Super Bowl performance (on roller skates) earlier this year.

This year’s star-studded red (well blue) carpet featured appearances from Tyla, Victoria Monet, Usher, Ice Spice, Keke Palmer, and Sexxy Red. Chloe and Halle Bailey, Tinashe, Colman Domingo, Tia Mowry, Coco Jones, and Flo Milli also walked the red carpet.

Usher was honored with a tribute of his biggest hits performed by Keke Palmer, Chloe Bailey, Teyana Taylor, Victoria Monet, Coco Jones, and more. Megan Thee Stallion opened the awards show and later joined GloRilla onstage. Also performing that night, Will Smith, Latto, Ice Spice, Tyla featuring Gunna and Skillibeng, and Ms. Lauryn Hill joined her son YG Marley onstage.
