Deadpool & Wolverine continues to make history at the box office in its second week of release. On its first weekend, the film helped the MCU cross the $30 billion mark. And this week, the film has the highest ever domestic gross for an R-rated feature. The former record holder? Just our lord and savior Jesus Christ. The Passion of the Christ held the record for more than 20 years at $370 million. According to Deadline, the two week gross for D&W is now $395 million domestic, $$438 mil international, for a combined $824 million worldwide. The film has already surpassed the totals for Deadpool’s 1 and 2.

Deadpool is living up to his self-proclaimed moniker of Marvel Jesus, or maybe he’s more like Marvel Moses? Deadpool & Wolverine is delivering the MCU from 40 years in a desert of disappointing box office totals. D&W, alongside Inside Out 2, has helped Disney become the first studio to cross $3 billion globally this year.
