In a new interview with the magazine FIRST for Women, Lori Loughlin avoids addressing Operation Varsity Blues head on. Instead, she vaguely alludes to the college admissions scandal that sent her from Full House to the big house, using the wise words of Chumbawamba’s “Tubthumping.†“Every day, we’re met with different obstacles. But, for me, it’s like that song says, ‘I get knocked down, but I get up again,’†Loughlin says, quoting the 1997 hit. “Nobody said life was going to be a breeze; we all make mistakes, but the important thing is to persevere,†she continued.

Rather than directly ask about the scandal that derailed Olivia Jade’s blossoming YouTube career, FIRST for Women instead posed questions like: “What are your feelings about forgiveness?,†“How do you relieve stress?,†“What are your favorite beauty buys?,†and “Do you think you have your own guardian angel?â€

The interview and corresponding cover is Loughlin’s latest dabble back in the limelight. She recently appeared on both of the two dueling Full House recap podcasts: Dave Coulier’s Full House Rewind and Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber’s How Rude, Tanneritos!. And in March, Loughlin guest starred on the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, playing a version of herself who was being blackballed from Los Angeles country clubs following the 2019 scandal. She turns to Larry David to sponsor her admission, but after successfully defending her and securing her admission, he discovers that she’s a horrible cheat at golf — living up to her reputation. While that reputation doesn’t come in this latest interview, her love of golf sure does!
