Has all the drama from the rest of this season of Love Is Blind made you forget about Leo and Brittany yet? The producers didn’t stick with this ill-fated couple to the end of their engagement, but they’ll be headed back to our screens soon … and we’ve got first looks at their reunion ‘fits to prove it.
To follow or not to follow
October 5, 2024: Love can be cruel, especially when it makes you suffer through five episodes with a man who won’t stop talking about his big old inheritance. That human is art dealer Leo Braudy, who somehow had a Wikipedia page before the filming of this season of Love Is Blind, proving he’s the real (rich) deal. He got engaged to Brittany Wisniewski and was head over heels in love with her (after he got rejected by Hannah Jiles). Brittany couldn’t muster up the courage to say “I love you†to Leo during their reveal, which may have contributed to why producers decided not to follow their story — a title card shared that the couple broke up shortly after filming. But they would’ve been messy reality TV gold if they kept going! And Leo could’ve told even more people how rich he was.
But to the BTS team, none of the mess matters. LIB mastermind Chris Coelen told Variety that they make their decision based on who’s most likely to make it to the altar and say “I do.†“When we make that decision as to who to follow, if we have more couples that got engaged, we make a decision as to which couples we think are authentic,†he explained. “And when I say authentic, I mean most authentically likely to actually be at the altar and say I do. Who is really genuinely on that path? We felt, at the time, that the six couples we did end up following were the ones that felt more, on a gut level, had a real shot to say ‘I do’ — that they were really invested in saying ‘I do.’ The couple that I think we felt least likely to do that were Leo and Brittany. So, we made a decision not to follow them after the pods ended.†Okay, but at the reunion, can someone make sure to ask Leo if he’s rich? Not sure based on the episodes.
They’re ba-ack
Friday, October 25: That’s impact. Brittany and Leo didn’t make it to Mexico, but they still got an invite to the Love Is Blind reunion — and we’ve got first looks at the cast outfits to prove it. (Of course Leo is wearing his watch.) The couple previously told Tudum that things “fizzled out†in Miami, though Brittany said she thinks Leo will be “a friend for life.†Seems like a pretty straightforward ending to their story, honestly! But no way was Netflix gonna lose out on a pair that generated so much discussion this season. Brittany and Leo previously blew air kisses in a video promoting the sit-down with the Lacheys, which airs on October 30. Hopefully they’ll offer enough insight to make it a … rich discussion.
