Santa, Can I Have a Wicked Porn Doll for Christmas?

Wicked may be rated PG, but the dolls should be rated X. Mattel apologized on November 11 for releasing dolls with packaging that advertised a URL linking out to a porn website. The dolls, of both Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, linked to wicked.com and, notably, the film’s website is wickedmovie.com. The other domain leads you straight to a website designed to turn you into a cartoon wolf with your eyes bulging out of your head, howling hornily at the moon and ready to spend thousands of dollars on hot vids. “Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,†the company said in its apology, per CNN. “We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this.†We’d like to take this moment to congratulate whoever had the foresight to register wicked.com. Talk about innovative marketing!
