We might as well start dream-casting his inevitable biopic now. Neil Young, famously a man who wants to live and give, has offered his own form of a Letterboxd review for A Complete Unknown on his archives website. In short: Four stars! He praised the film and encouraged everyone to watch it — it’s nice to know we have something in common — but not before dropping some lore into his shared universe with the protagonist. “I love Bob Dylan and his music. Always have. He’s a great artist,” Young wrote. “Once he was on my bus and I didn’t recognize him and threw him off but that’s another story.” Yes, we have about a dozen follow-up queries, but we’ll let Young finish. “This movie is a great tribute to his life and music,” he added. “I think if you love Bob’s music you should see this great movie. I loved it.” Okay, but when did the banishment occur? Was this before or after Dylan took a pilgrimage to Young’s childhood home? Was Dylan in disguise? We’ll give him 48 hours to respond on his Twitter page for official comment.
