Curtis “50 Cent†Jackson is producing a docuseries for Netflix about the Diddy allegations. “This is a story with significant human impact, Jackson and Alexandria Stapleton, who is directing the series, said in a statement obtained by Variety. “It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.†The docuseries will cover the criminal charges against Sean “Diddy†Combs, as well as the lawsuits and accusations of sexual assault, abuse, and sex trafficking.
50 Cent first announced the doc in December, when only four civil suits had been filed against Combs. Cassie was the first, and three more followed. As recently as September 25, new plaintiffs have come forward. The most recent is Thalia Graves, who alleges that Combs “viciously†raped her in 2001.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives,†Jackson and Stapleton said. “While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.â€
