🎟��� Squid Game season 2

Squid Game was such a runaway hit when it debuted in 2021, that the originally intended limited series is getting a season two. We knew Seong (Lee Jung-jae) was itching for revenge after he won his squid games, but now we know he’s back in for round two to destroy it from the inside. Brave move, man. (Streaming December 26.)

➽ Black Doves — Keira Knightly stars as the wife of an important politician and an undercover spy working for a secret organization known as the Black Doves. After the death of her secret lover (Andrew Koji), she’s drawn into a real twisty mystery that she seeks to unravel alongside her friend and coworker assassin Sam (Ben Whishaw). (Streaming December 5.)

➽ A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter — One of the breakout pop girls of the year is getting her own Christmas special. Expect performances from her holiday EP fruitcake, duets with Shania Twain and Kali Uchis, and a couple of skits, including one of Quinta Brunson being ghosted by a guy (Nico Hiraga) who promised to take her to Wicked (rude). Oh, and as an extra Christmas treat, she’ll have the other breakout pop girl of the year, Chappell Roan, on as well. Meanwhile, Netflix better get that bratmas special ready for next year. (Streaming December 6.)

➽ Maria — Angelina Jolie is stunning as Maria Callas in Pablo Larraín’s drama. Taking place during the final days of her life, Maria is a dreamlike untraditional biopic of the famed opera singer. (Streaming December 11.)
