Shine bright like an Oscars guest. This year’s Oscars fashion is embracing everything shiny, sparkly, and reflective. While some nominees voted to embrace a different theme to their looks (Ariana Grande, Glinda pink; Timothée Chalamet, KitchenAid’s color of the year: Butter), many decided that anything that resembles a mirror is the way to go. Whoopi Goldberg wore an off-the-shoulder, shiny latex navy dress that was giving Gabby’s roundtable domination on Traitors last week. More looks should’ve been inspired by reality-TV contestants, but alas, the sparkles staring back at the stars continued throughout the fashion of the night. Halle Berry wore a crushed mirror dress that became introspective if you looked too long; Demi Moore’s bedazzled silver dress reflected her wins throughout awards season; and Selena Gomez’s beige sparkly look was giving old Hollywood.
