The Screen Actors Guild Award Winners

The heaviest award in showbiz, according to Kieran Culkin. Photo: Michael Buckner/Variety via Getty Images

An audio issue or two aside, Netflix mostly didn’t act up. For the second year in a row, the Screen Actors Guild Awards aired live on Netflix out of the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The February 23 ceremony honored TV and film performances (and offering Oscars predictors some final clues to analyze how the rest of awards season would shake out). Going into the night, Wicked and Shōgun led the 2025 nominees with five nods apiece. Julia Louis-Dreyfus presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Jane Fonda, who praised unions during her union awards show.

In a stunning upset for the Best Actor category, Timothée Chalamet won over Adrien Brody, who had been running away with the category all season. Other big winners included Conclave for Outstanding Ensemble, Shōgun and Baby Reindeer for practically all the TV awards, and Kieran Culkin for Guy Pointing Out How Heavy the Statue Is.
